Bulgaria's trade deficit grows by 13.6 pct in 2014

　　SOFIA, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Bulgaria's foreign trade deficit amounted to 7.903 billion BGN (4.09 billion U.S. dollars) in 2014, increasing by 13.6 percent year on year, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said Monday.

　　Preliminary NSI data showed that the value of all exported goods from Bulgaria amounted to 43.2 billion BGN in 2014, and the exports decreased by 0.7 percent compared to 2013.

　　Meanwhile, the total value of all the goods imported in the country reached 51.1 billion BGN, or 1.2 percent more than 2013, NSI said.

　　In 2014, the Bulgarian exports and imports to and from countries outside the European Union (EU), amounted to 16.3 billion BGN and 19.7 billion BGN, decreasing by 6.6 percent and 3.2 percent year on year, respectively, according to the NSI.

　　According to the NSI, China was Bulgaria's third largest export and import partner outside the EU in 2014, with export and import figures reaching 1.043 billion BGN and 1.691 billion BGN, respectively. (1 BGN = 0.58 U.S. dollars)
