　　Tokyo shares end slightly lower on profit-taking

　　TOKYO, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares ended the choppyWednesday slightly lower as selling took the upper hands on profit-taking.

　　The comments by U.S. Federal Reserve chief Janet Yellenindicated the Fed is in no hurry to raise its key interest rateheld the decline.

　　The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average, which stopped it five-dayclimb, inched down 18.28 points, or 0.10 percent, from Tuesday at18,585.20 after briefly hitting 18,648.77, the highest intradaylevel since April 2000.

　　The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the TokyoStock Exchange was down 0.66 point, or 0.04 percent, at 1,507.62.

　　Major decliners included airline, land transport, glass andceramic issues.

　　The turnover was about 2,439.6 billion yen (about 20.55 billionU.S. dollars). Enditem
