COPENHAGEN, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Two men have been arrested foraiding the alleged perpetrator in the weekend's shootings in theDanish capital of Copenhagen, authorities said on Monday.
The men are accused of having helped the gunman "with word anddeed" in the attacks at a cultural center and a synagogue, theCopenhagen Police said in a statement on Monday.
The two were arrested on Sunday as police carried out extensivesearch operations in the Copenhagen area.
Apart from charges of complicity in murder, attempted murder andaggravated assault, the pair are also accused of having violatedthe weapons section in the Danish Criminal Code by keepingloaded
firearms.
Police believed they had helped the alleged offender to obtain afirearm, and that they must have offered him refuge.
A hearing was held early Monday in the courthouse Dommervagtenin Central Copenhagen.
The weekend's two shooting incidents in Copenhagen left twocivilians dead and five police officers wounded. The 22-year-oldgunman, who was born in Denmark, was shot dead in police operation.Enditem
