The American computer giant Apple on Monday announced theestablishment of one of the world's largest data centers inDenmark's central Jutland town of Viborg.

Apple said the new data center would be powered exclusively byrenewable energy, and surplus heating would be recycled back intothe local district's heating system, thereby minimizing negativeenvironmental impact.
According to Jensen, Denmark's green energy policy and strongcleantech cluster have played important roles in the investmentdecision.
"Not only does this investment confirm Denmark's position as aworld leader within green solutions and renewable energytechnology, the investment also underlines that we are indeed avery investment-friendly country offering attractive businessopportunities for innovative global companies," he said.
Apart from the data center in Viborg, Apple also has plans tobuild a similar data center in County Galway, Ireland.
