DAMASCUS -- The death toll of the triple bombings that rocked a northeastern Syrian town on Thursday rose to 22, a monitor group reported Friday.
The bombings were caused by three booby-trapped vehicles that tore through the predominantly-Assyrian town of Tal Tamir in the western countryside of Syria's northeastern province of al-Hasakah, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

ANKARA -- Turkish security forces have detained a total of 913 Islamic State (IS) militants since January as they were trying to illegally cross through Turkey's border, private Dogan News Agency reported on Friday.
