美国前外交官奥巴(Mintaro Oba)更愿意把特朗普的言论描述为“伪装成声明的疯狂咆哮”。

悉尼先驱晨报（The Sydney Morning Herald）报道称，特朗普完全是在推卸自己的责任。
韩国釜山国立大学政治学教授罗伯特·凯利称特朗普的推特就是一个“小丑表演”。他在推特上说,“特朗普把美朝的僵局推给中国，[因为]他不想自己承担责任。”
North Korea analyst Robert Kelly of Pusan University said Trump's tweets were a clown show. "Trump is just buck-passing the US-NK stalemate onto China, [because] he doesn't want to take the blame himself," Kelly wrote, also in a tweet.
格里菲斯大学朝鲜问题专家Andray Abrahamian表示，特朗普对中国的政策似乎“有点精神分裂”。
Trump's China policy seems "a little schizophrenic", he said.

CNN（美国有线电视新闻网）报道称，特朗普力图把美朝僵局强推到与他贸易紧张的中国身上，尽管根本说不出中国怎么阻碍无核化进程。
CNN进一步解释了特朗普诿过于人，选中国当替罪羊底有多荒谬：
尽管中美两国在贸易问题上存在分歧，但“朝鲜半岛无核化”至少是双方共同的一个区域安全目标。
况且中国还是朝鲜最大的贸易伙伴。
外媒：人家中国说了，这“甩锅”，不接
CNN援引华春莹记者会上的发言称，人家中方已经声：对不起，这个“甩锅”，不接！
8月30日，中国外交部记者会上，发言人华春莹表示，我们已经多次重申了中国在半岛问题上的政策立场。
希望美方能像中方一样重信守诺，为推动解决半岛问题发挥积极、建设性作用。面对当前出现的一些曲折和困难，应该多从自身找原因，而不是诿过于人。
商业周刊报道称，中方回应特朗普的指责称，这是不负责任的“神逻辑”。

8月30日，华春莹在记者会上表示，对于美方各种花式“甩锅”，对不起，我们不想接，也不能接。

《华盛顿邮报》转引Vox的报道称，美国和朝鲜在谁先履行特金会承诺方面互相踢皮球。
在特金新加坡会晤期间，特朗普对金正恩表示，会在会晤结束后签署终止朝鲜战争的声明。从那时开始，特朗普政府一再要求平壤首先拆除其大部分核武库。
Vox reported Wednesday that Trump told Kim Jong Un in Singapore that he would sign a declaration to end the Korean War soon after their meeting. Since then, the Trump administration has repeatedly asked Pyongyang to first dismantle most of its nuclear arsenal.

“If that’s true, that’s why the North Koreans are dragging their feet,” said Robert Kelly, a professor of political science at Pusan National University in South Korea. “That’s Trump’s blunder.”

North Korea is pushing the United States to endorse a declaration to end the Korean War, while the White House is demanding that Pyongyang declare a full inventory of its nuclear weapons and missiles — and to set a timetable for dismantling them. Neither side has budged, and the atmosphere among officials below Mr. Trump and Mr. Kim has become increasingly sour.

Mr. Trump has long linked North Korea with China and trade. On Friday, when he called off Mr. Pompeo’s trip, he claimed that the deepening trade fight was leading China to hamper the nuclear talks.

Moreover, they say China has largely stuck to its commitments under United Nations sanctions not to trade with North Korea, though there is anecdotal evidence of increased commercial activity along the border between the North and China.

Hindering aggression by Trump is domestic circumstance, as a radical shift on North Korea would fly in the face of assurances given to his supporters. “Trump is not in a political position to contradict what he has said so far about the success of negotiations,” Go said. “He cannot declare out of the blue that it is a failure. This is the best he can do with the constraints he has with the November [mid-term] elections.”
